3

Three is a magic number.

SATURDAY

The first morning of the wonderfully crazy weekend began with the final leg of Project SPHERE. Move tables, arrange chairs, draw bingo cards, collect the food, go buy supplementary provisions... Then viola! Suddenly the lunch event was over. Mr Lee was walking around taking snapshots and i think he got a lame photo of me looking stone on the playground slide. I also got to meet a Benjamin *sniggers*.
Then everyone went to KFC after that for a LATE lunch which brought revelations.

Strolled home to go bathe and change, then met only Ara and Ben at orchard mrt (because Shannon and Chaohao pangseh!) and walked over to Traders'.
Quite astounding, that you can bump into quite a number of people at orchard road on a saturday, even if it's just a short stretch of road. Ran into Darrick Leow, Sean Lee and Amelia, and Ara saw an ex-hostelite.
Then comes Venture Night 2008. Mm how can i describe it... Spectacular, for lack of a better word.
SPECTACULAR!!!
J1s, you are zai. 2nd time saying it. If only Kris and Kim were there, then we'd have a complete photo of the pelandok venture unit '08. Malcolm's leaving the venture unit to lead the rover one, and plonk we'll be right there with him again. Lol we're going to continue being pests to Steve.
And during photo taking when the unit flag touched the floor, i told the adult leaders to knock it down in a moment of madness. Lol!

SUNDAY

My awry bio clock woke me up at 8am even though i slept at 3am the night before. But it's good that the clock thinks i should wake up early. So wake up that time i was like wah tuition, must be on time, on time. Tuition's at 11am, so lie down again and half sleep until about 9am when i re-woke up.
In the midst of my morning shower my phone wailed its sms alert and i secretly hoped that Kenneth wanted to postpone, something came up, and so see you next week! Woohoo!
Well it was the bathroom i was in so i couldn't laugh maniacally or dance about, or check my phone for that matter. And so that meant that the next thing i had to do was to come out of the bathroom. This i promptly did, without breaking a sweat if i might add.
It turns out that tuition got postponed to 1pm. I'm satisfied.
So back on my bed i went, nearly breaking a sweat this time. I woke up at 1.15pm, and the story for that i wrote last month, 2nd paragraph. It's here if you want to read it. One exception though, i didn't say anything at the end. I quietly pretended that i had been awake all along, just somewhere else at home doing something that made me busy. That worked fairly well, though i don't know if i fooled anybody.

Towards the evening my mum wanted to go for an "explorative walk", something which i really couldn't fathom to be possible in my neighbourhood of 18 years, hers of 20+ years. So i figured that indeed it would be a most challenging challenge worthy of questing upon that i can boast of if it were to be a success.
So we began by wandering into the direction of potong pasir, which really isn't our neighbourhood anymore and is in fact another country. Luckily this time the opposition party didn't stop us to check our passports because we forgot to bring them. Before long we stood before St. Andrew's Village (junior college + secondary school + junior school, yes it truly is a village). I re-lived the feeling associated with my pre-JC days and i once more saw the quote on the wall of the JC building entrance that drew me so much to the place.
"No one is here by chance."
Hahaha i remember chuckling to myself when i saw it that evening. I still think it's cool.
Then lo and behold, my mum and i got lost.
Well technically one can't get lost in a small, signboarded Singapore, so okay we weren't lost - we were found. So my mum and i were found after crossing a highway (using an overhead bridge of course) which we had thought to be the PIE. We realised we had come to toa payoh industrial park, which should have been on the other side of the highway, hence the conclusion that we were really, really, very, very found.

Then we found our way (or lost our way if you wish) into TP south and saw the ever elusive First Toa Payoh Sec, then to TP west and finally to central and back home.
For completing this arduous quest the magical fairy princess granted me an enchanted cup, from which i will never spill when i drink using it. Hee how exciting!
